News: TELKOM - AN EXPERIENCE FROM HELL....and still ongoing

Telkom in the newsAnonymous writes "I derive my income from being on line and have an ADSL connection.....

I derive my income from being on line and have an ADSL connection. Not being able to connect affects me.
I reported my fault to Telkom on Friday. In addition, to double check their fault I also contacted Microsoft, Compac and various other people who could be of assistance or tell me with whom the fault lies.

The following story was submitted by a Telkom Customer.

I logged up a solid 14 hours on the phone (AT MY EXPENSE) trying to sort out the problem - including going back to Telkom to find out when they would attend to THEIR PROBLEM.

I constantly get answers that the fault has been logged but no one is prepared to commit to a date for it to be attended to - with in a week, month, year - who knows and THEY CERTAINLY DON'T CARE.

In addition I took my computer in to Incredible Connection - a 1 hour drive from where I live -THEY CHECKED MY COMPUTER AND CONNECTION - it worked fine on their premises.

I then took my computer to another specialist who recommended I purchase a new ADSL Modem - Retail price R1300 (while new members get one free of charge - irrespective of the fact that I have been paying the highest rates from inception and for a few years now).

My primary concern was to get up and running.

We had the NEW MODEM AND MY COMPUTER TESTED AT THE SPECIALISTS OFFICE - all working fine.

I get home and once again NO JOY...

I spoke to a Telkom supervisor who promised to escalate my problem to a priority - phoned TELKON TO CHECK - No surpirse - NOTHING HAD been done.

Aside from the above I have a major prior history with Telkom - would also be happy to share that if requested.

BOTTOM LINE IS THAT TELKOM DON'T CARE!!!!!!

NOW FOR THE BREAKING NEWS - if and when they arrive - I PLAN TO LOCK THEM IN MY HOUSE - CLOSE THE EXIT GATE AND BASICALLY HOLD THEM HOSTAGE UNTIL MY PROBLEM IS SORTED!!!!

This is a promise not a threat - they don't listen or hear cries of help - THIS IS THE ONLY WAY!!!! sort of shooting them - fortunately I don't have a gun. . .
